Chapter 2

**Old Saybrook Honeymoon...Let the Show Begin!**

Since Donna was under age, running off to get married wasn't as easy as Jake would have liked. Most states didn't allow minors to wed without full and written consent of both sets of parents and without the presence of the parents at the ceremony. Neither Jake nor Donna's parents were willing to accept the idea that the couple wait until Donna was 18, since that would occur after the baby was born. And Jake and Donna were ready to make a life of their own. Jake had settled into what he considered to be a decent job for the time being, and he had plans to pick up more work on the side.  Donna was willing to be careful to spend very little money and more than happy to do without even some of the things that other young wives might consider necessities.
Jake had convinced his mother to do all of the research for him. She had sought out a judge for the ceremony, she had taken care of all of the paper work, requesting the presence of the two of them only when necessary, and she had put together a short list of guests that she would loved to have seen at the wedding. But Jake would have nothing of it. He informed his mom that he knew that she was making such plans with the hopes that the guests would grace them with gifts and cash, but that they would do just fine without the sympathetic pity of others. They only wanted to get this over with and start their lives together. His mother was bothered at his response, but she said nothing.
The ceremony lasted less than an hour. The judge reached out and shook Jake's hand, then Donna's, and he thanked the parents, wished them all a good life, and was out the door before anyone else.
Jake's Dad patted Jake on the back and said, "Good luck, Son."
Jake replied, "I don't rely on luck, but thanks just the same."
With tears in her eyes, his mom hugged Donna and whispered, "Just let me know if you need anything or have any questions."
Donna's mom hugged her daughter and cried then gazed daggers at her husband.
Donna and her father exchanged a quick and clumsy hug. "You two be good," He said then he added, "Let's go. Time for these two to find a life for themselves."
As the two cars exited the parking lot, Jake waved. He looked at Donna and said, "Now, my wide-eyed beauty, let the show begin!"
Still in a state of disbelief, Donna laughed nervously. She looked hard at Jake and said quietly, "Just six months ago I was walking through the halls of Harding High School with my friends, going to math class. Now, I'm married and soon am going to have a baby," Then she placed her hand over her face and began to cry, Oh my goodness, Jake. Im scared and happy, all at once.
Jake smiled. He put his arm around her, "And you and I are going to raise that baby together, and we're going to have a very happy life; I'll see to it."
Jake threw the two packed suitcases into the bed of the truck, and the newly married couple climbed into the cab of the 1972 red and white Chevrolet pickup and drove off. They hadn't told anyone where they had planned to spend their honeymoon. When Jake's former high school buddy had asked him, 'Where you two plan to spend your 'hornymoon?'' Jake told him that he wasn't sure if they would even have a honeymoon; that the honeymoon, as far as he was concerned, had already taken place--in the cab of his truck. And the two of them had laughed hard.
But Jake had planned a short honeymoon. He'd made reservations at a hotel in a small town about one hour north of Bridgeport called Old Saybrook. Donna fell in love with the quaint setting of The Breakwater Inn from the moment she saw it. They stepped into the lobby and were greeted by a middle aged white man.
"Hello, folks," He chirped. "I'm going to assume that you are Jake and you are Donna." His effeminate tone and gestures caught Jake and Donna off-guard.
Jake replied, "Yes, we are. And I'm going to assume that you are NOT Fawn."
He laughed at Jake's quick reply then said, "And that would be an absolutely accurate guess, my friend. No, Fawn is on her lunch break now, but she'll return within the hour, I'm sure." He offered his hand, "My name is Val. I'm The Breakwater Inn manager."
Jake shook his soft, pliable hand and pulled it back quickly. Yeah, its nice to meet you, man.
Val summoned them to the front desk and opened the large leather-bound ledger. "Okay, Fawn has you here for three days and two nights, is that right?"
"Yes, sir."
"And I see that you've chosen a non-smoking room, correct?" He looked at Jake and grinned.
"Yes, that's right."
"So good for you folks. And will you be needing wake-up calls at all?"
Jake looked at Donna and said, "I sure as hell don't want a wake-up call, how 'bout you?"
Donna smiled and shook her head.
"Okay then, how will you lovely people be paying?"
Jake paused a moment then said, "Well, Donna here is really great at washing windows, and I don't mind getting on my hands and knees in a bathtub now and then."
Val folded his hands under his chin and smiled, "Oh, my."
Jake realized what that must have sounded like to the girly manager and he laughed, "Oh, Jesus Christ, man!  That's not what I meant!"
Donna said, "We'll pay with cash, right Jake?"
Still a bit shaken by the last exchange, Jake replied, "Uh, yeah. Yeah, we'll pay cash." And he pulled out a wad of twenty-dollar bills and paid for their entire stay.
Val led them to their room. Donna was pleased with a view of the ocean, once again, and Jake was just happy that things were coming together and had gone relatively smoothly.
The main room window afforded them a view not only of the ocean, but also of Saybrook Breakwater Lighthouse. Jake told Donna that it had been in Saybrook since 1886 and about how the design of the Connecticut flag came from the seal of Old Saybrook Colony. He told her about a school that was established there in 1701 that later moved to New Haven and was renamed Yale University.  Donna was especially impressed with Jake's knowledge of the famous people who had lived there, including Art Carney and Katharine Hepburn.
"I am so amazed at how much you know about this place!"
"Let's just say I did a little research before making reservations."
After they settled in, Jake insisted they start the stay out right, and he kissed her hard on her lips. Donna reciprocated. He led her to the bed where she sat down and looked up at him. He looked into her big eyes and placed his hand on her face, and he brushed his fingers through her hair and placed the palm of his hand on her neck and slowly reached into her blouse and took hold of her breast. Donna flinched.
"You okay?"  Jake asked.
"I'm fine, yes."
He unbuttoned her blouse and dropped to his knees. Her bra slid slowly from her now large breasts. Jake had come to enjoy this part of her pregnancy. He looked up at her and quietly said, "Oh my God, Donna, you are so god-damned beautiful."
"They're getting bigger." She replied shyly.
"Yeah, they are, and I'm really loving that."
He cupped them in his hands and slowly leaned into her. She watched Jake in his pleasure, and she liked what she saw. She smiled and dropped her head back and breathed deeply.
Jake worked his magic, and Donna was delighted with his expertise. She was his, and she told him so. Throughout the lovemaking she told him that her body was his to do as he pleased; that she only wanted to make him happy.
And Donna had learned what made Jake happy, and she too had become a magician, moving this way, rubbing here, and making just the right sounds. The two were synchronized perfectly, and the climax couldn't have been more perfectly timed.
And afterwards, lying together, the sound of the ocean and the soft blink of the lighthouse became the music to a wonderfully orchestrated opera. And it was Donna, this time, waking in the middle of the night with a strong urge for more, and Jake was happy to oblige. And it seemed somehow even better than the first.
A few minutes passed, and as she drifted off, Donna whispered, "We get to do this together for the rest of our lives."

Then she turned to Jake. He had already fallen asleep.
